Supporting Pediatric Cancer Patients and Families Through Every Stage of the Journey
When Everything Changes, Stability Matters
A pediatric cancer diagnosis reshapes every part of life. One parent might have to leave work. Bills keep coming. Treatment is often years, not months. And yet, the world doesn’t slow down.
Polo for Life partners with South Florida organizations to help families stay grounded through all of it. Making sure there’s food in the kitchen, gas in the car, and lights on at home.
We don’t steer the horse, families do. But we ride alongside them when they need it most.
Support Starts With Strong Partnerships
Polo for Life works behind the scenes to make sure help reaches the families who need it most. We fund and collaborate with South Florida organizations that already know the families, understand their needs, and are trusted in the pediatric cancer community.
These partners provide:
Housing and utility assistance
Grocery and meal support
Transportation to treatment
Mental health and counseling services
Emergency relief for unexpected needs
By focusing our efforts on funding and strengthening these partnerships, we ensure that help is both timely and personal — and that no family slips through the cracks.
Creating Moments That Feel Like Childhood Again
Treatment is isolating. School stops. Social life shrinks. Even play can feel out of reach.
That’s why Polo for Life partners with local organizations to fund joyful, low-pressure activities that give families a break from the daily challenges of treatment. These events offer connection, community, and a chance for young patients and survivors to meet others who understand their journey.
For many children, being part of this world - even just for a day - brings confidence, pride, and unforgettable memories. No pressure, just presence.
Sometimes the best medicine is a night to laugh, meet another parent, or watch your kid be a kid again.
“She hadn’t smiled like that in months. Seeing her light up next to that horse there’s something I’ll never forget it.”
Pediatric Cancer Diagnoses & Survival by Age Group
It’s estimated that more than 10,000 children in the United States, under the age of 15, will be diagnosed with cancer annually.
Polo for Life, Inc. raises money to help pediatric cancer patients and their families from diagnosis and treatment to survivorship and long-term follow-up. We partner with South Florida organizations to provide financial assistance so families can remain in their homes, be confident they will have food for their families and survive the financial hardships that come with a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
