Jonathon
Five years ago (2019), 2-year-old Jonathon was an active, curious toddler with an infectious laugh. He enjoyed watching and playing with Mickey Mouse, Paw Patrol, and the Avengers. Suddenly he started passing out so him mom took him to the doctor where they received very unexpected news – Jonathon was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
He got a port surgically placed in his chest and started three years of chemotherapy. And if having cancer is not enough, Jonathon has also experienced a rare, but serious side effects of treatment – treatment-related diabetes.
Fast forward to 2024. He’s now finished with treatment, back in school, loves football and soccer, and yes, still an Avengers fan – Black Panther is his favorite.
