About the event

This year’s Polo For A Purpose will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at the National Polo Center in Wellington, FL. MEET OUR HONORARY CHAIR

Brandon Philips is a professional polo player. During his career, Philips has won many of the sport’s most prestigious tournaments. However, his greatest victory is surviving stage 4 nonHodgkin’s lymphoma when he was 14 years old.

Everything seemed to be falling into place for young Brandon until the day he woke up with severe swelling and aching pain in his left leg. Twenty-four hours later, he was diagnosed with nonHodgkin’s lymphoma and given a prognosis of six weeks to live.

Phillips endured five grueling months of intensive chemotherapy sessions yet never lost his spiritnor accepted death as an option. He beat the odds and went into remission.

Brandon vowed to dedicate his life to pursuing what he loved most …polo. Later, he coupled hispassion for polo with his personal need to help families facing the distressing challenge of havingto combat childhood cancer.

That decision was the beginning of Polo For Life, an organization dedicated to helping others. Since its founding, the organization’s annual fundraising event, Polo For A Purpose, has raised more than 3.3M dollars to help children and families facing the same horrific childhood cancer experience he fought and won against.
